Position Purpose
The Visualization Designer supports the global studio in transforming concept ideas into polished dynamic imagery. This position requires knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software. The designer will build and help visualize 3D models with support from art directors and designers to conceptualize spaces and experiences by creating 3d models, renders and flythroughs to support project client pitch decks
Responsibilities
With a strong comprehension of advancements in architectural modeling and visualization, the Visualization Designer will work closely with the art director and team to assist in modeling and rendering for art and design production within the studio. The Visualization Designer will help bring ideas and sketches to life in 3D including POV’s, Aerials, and animated flythroughs. This role requires the individual to be knowledgeable of relevant 3D modeling and rendering softwares, quality standards, spatial design parameters, and have an in-depth awareness of texturing, lighting, and rendering outputs.
This role primarily concentrates on the creation of highly themed interior and exterior modeling, rendering imagery and flythrough animation. Collaborating with Art Directors and Senior Designers to ensure models and renders meet the needs of production goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with new visualization styles and processes, including but not limited to 3D renders, fly throughs, live time walkthroughs of project designs.
- Apply studio approved modeling and rendering techniques to support the art direction team in creating high quality visuals.
- Work closely with the Visualization Director and other members of the team, and support in modeling and rendering.
- Support the team with troubleshooting and problem solving problematic model files and importing/exporting models within different software ecosystems.
- Become educated in new processes.
- Participate in regular skills coaching from staff as applicable
- Strive to ensure production meets quality standards.
- Follow procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.
- Understand and adhere to quality standards.
- Ensure modeling and rendering deadlines will be met.
- Effectively prioritize, time manage and accomplish multiple projects simultaneously.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant modeling and rendering experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the related Entertainment or Design discipline.
- Experience or degree in architecture, or interiors is a plus.
- Proficient Modeling and Visualization skills in a large array of software with an understanding of how to import/ export files from one software to another. Software knowledge should include an understanding of all software listed with specialty skills in 3 or more of the following list and ability to render in multiple render engines; Blender, SketchUp, Rhino, Maya, 3DS Max, Revit, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, Cinema 4D, and Unreal.
- Must have experience in working with a team.
