The Vectorworks Draftsperson is responsible for the creation and maintenance of all drawings for the project under
the guidance of a Technical Director / Technical Producer or Project Lead. This position requires someone with
experience in 2D/3D drafting for live entertainment productions. Will be creating 2D/3D representations in Vectorworks
and populating it with show elements. Ideal candidate will reside in Dubai or Riyadh and able to be on ground in Saudi Arabia for projects 4 to 8 weeks at a time.
• Modeling major show concepts/elements from the groundplan into 3D representations for the purpose of
conveying design intent and form/scale to the client.
• Creating and maintaining the 2D groundplan throughout the entire project (including onsite tracking of
changes and creation of “as-built” plans)
• Drafting of site plans, ground plans, and other required layouts/details.
• 2D/3D drafting of individual scenic elements for fabrication.
• Meetings and site surveys with the client and internal and external collaborators.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 2-3 years of live event, entertainment, theater, touring concert
and/or production experience in drafting
• Strong drafting skills. All drafting will be done in Vectorworks
• Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal & written
• Work with larger producer and production teams as well as client and vendors
• Able to work well with high volume, while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy
• Computer skills: Macintosh OS or Window platform using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
• Evaluate approaches and discover efficiencies
• Strategize, meet and devise plans with executives and core team members
• Formulate strategy and direction
• Play a key role in communications with all stakeholders and all departments
• Provide outside view to the team for POV and reference
• Guarantee communication paths are frequent and open
• Enforce policies & procedures
• Ensure that all work conforms to pre-established specifications & standards
• Work with discretion, diplomacy, confidentiality, and tact in high-pressure settings
